Kaitlin Meister HIGH SCHOOL: Barring an injury during her senior season, Meister could finish her outstanding high school career as one of the top two players (joining Streaks' teammate Jennifer Schlott) in all-time games played at Mountain View High School. A three-year varsity letterwinner, two-year starter and a two-year team captain, she has appeared in 95 career games for the Toros and helped the team to a 81-14 record during that span (.853 winning percentage). Fall 2009: Meister was recently invited to a national skills event in Atlanta (Oct. 2-4) by renowned NBA and NIKE skills coach Ganon Baker. She was one of only seven girls inivited to Atlanta from Baker's invitational skills camp held at Texas A&M on August 29-30. Meister's skill and game work in Texas was noted on Houston scout Simmie Colson's "Girlz Prep Report" blog: http://girlzprepreport.blogspot.com/ Summer 2009: Meister tallied 11 of her 16 points in the final five minutes of the Streaks' 52-50 win over the California Storm Elite in the semi-finals of the NIKE Oasis Invitational on July 24th, hitting six of nine shots. She was the Silver Streaks second leading rebounder (4.8 rpg) and ranked second in steals (7) at the End of Oregon Trail tournament, where the Silver Streaks went 4-1 and won the consolation championship. Helped Mountain View win the "Salute to Excellence" Invitational in Spokane, Wash., (June 5-7), ranking second on the team in scoring (10.0 ppg) and first in three-pointers (15-of-33, .455-percent) and steals (8). She hit five three-pointers in the semi-finals, and hit the game winning three-pointer in the opening round of the tournament to give the Toros a 55-52 win over Coeur d'Alene HS of Idaho. Meister led the Toros in three-point shooting as Mountain View HS won the 2009 "Just Hoops" Tournament in Arizona (June 25-27) by draining 17 three-pointers in six games. 2008-09: A two-year starter and two-year team captain for Mountain View, Meister was named "Most Inspirational" following her junior season as the Toros advanced to the Arizona Class 5A State Semi-Finals with a 26-5 record. She was instramental in an 55-50 upset win over nationally ranked Highlands Ranch HS of Colorado on Dec. 4th, scoring eight points, grabbing two steals, drawing an offensive charge and hitting two three pointers. Meister scored 10 points and had three steals in a key 52-43 win at regional foe Westwood HS on Jan. 27th. Summer 2008: Led Mountain View HS at 2008 Spokane Invitational, (June 6-8), shooting .455-percent on three-pointers (10-of-22) as the Toros captured the consolation championship with 4-2 record. In six games, Meister had game scoring highs of 19, 15, 12 and 11 points. During three NCAA sanctioned club tournaments in July (Portland, Chicago, Memphis), Meister was the Silver Streaks top scorer off the bench and led the club in three-point field goal percentage and made three-point shots (23-of-50, .460-percent). 2007-08: Started all 32 games and served as a team captain for Mountain View as a sophomore, averaging 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game for the 26-6 Toros. Meister tallied 11 points against Dobson HS in the East Valley Regional Championship game on Feb. 15th and earned honorable mention all-region honors. She was one of her team's top three-point shooters, hitting a season-high four treys vs. Red Mountain HS on Dec. 22nd. Meister had a season-high seven steals against Marcos de Niza on Dec. 14 and tallied 10 points and four assists in a road win over evental 5AII state champion South Mountain HS on Jan. 9th. She had a solid overall game against Deer Valley on Nov. 27th, scoring 16 points, grabbbing six rebounds and five steals. 2006-07: Meister, who backed-up Arizona All-State guard Brooke Jackson at top-ranked Mountain View, was the Toros top three-point shooter off the bench as a freshman. She tallied a season-high 17 points against Deer Valley on Jan. 30, 2007, on five-of-six shooting from beyond the three-point arc, and scored six points in the Arizona Class 5A State Championship Game on March 7, 2007. Meister earned Arizona Interscholastic Association Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll accolades with a 4.0 grade point average en route to helping Mt. View to a 31-3 overall record. She also played softball as a freshman. Meister joined fellow Streaks and Mt. View teammate Jennifer Schlott to capture the 12th Annual Seton HS Three-on-Three Classic championship in the girl's varsity division on Sept. 8, 2007. CLUB: A veteran member of the Silver Streaks since 2002, Meister has helped the Streaks to five consecutive Arizona AAU State Championships (2003-2007).
